As the curator of the collection of Yugoslav<br \/>\npainting of the 20th century in the National Museum of Serbia, I was dedicated to the safe<br \/>\naccommodation, processing and exhibition of the works I was entrusted with, but also to resolving the<br \/>\nquestion: Why doesn\u2019t the oldest and most eminent museum institution in Serbia have its collection of<br \/>\nSerbian painting of the 20th century? That is why I wanted our national values to live in time and space. I<br \/>\ntried to present and interpret them as often as possible. Volume 1 contains studies, essays and reviews<br \/>\nof the movements. Phenomena and directions of the Serbian 20th century art, while Volume 2 speaks<br \/>\nabout the creative work of individual artists.
